Manchester City founded as West Gorton in 1880, changed to Ardwick A.F.C in 1887, and finally to Manchester City in 1887. The same time as they moved into Hyde Road. In 1923, they moved into Maine Road, built to emulate the Scottish National Stadium Hampden Park. This was home ground for the next 80 years, till 2002, when Man City signed a 250-year lease for the new City of Manchester Stadium. To truly appreciate their history, you’ll need a lot of quiet time and coffee. Get the Manchester City F.C. Mug WM to set the tone.
